भगवान श्री भैरव की साधना की सीधा सा तात्पर्य है कि व्यक्ति अथवा साधक, भगवान शिव के ही साधनामय स्वरूप में प्रविष्ट हो रहा है, उनके साधनामय स्वरूप की अभ्यर्थना करके अपने जीवन की विसंगतियों को समाप्त करने के लिए आग्रहशील हो गया है। भगवान शिव अपने मूल स्वरूप में सर्वथा निर्विकल्प एवं निश्चल है, परम आनंद के साथ कैलाश पर्वत पर जगज्जननी मां पार्वती के साथ समाधि की उच्चतम स्थिति में आरूढ़ है किंतु, वहीं अपने इस भैरव स्वरूप के द्वारा वे निरंतर भक्तों के मध्य वरदायक रूप में उपस्थित भी हैं।

भगवान श्री भैरव को शब्दमय रूप में कथित करने का कारण भी मात्र इतना ही है कि वे समस्त ब्रह्माण्ड में सर्वत्र उपस्थित है। जिस प्रकार शब्द के लिए कोई बंधन नहीं होता है, वह प्रत्येक बाधा को अस्वीकार कर देता है, उन्मुक्त होता है, ठीक उसी प्रकार से भगवान श्री भैरव भी किसी बाधा की उपस्थिति को स्वीकार तक नहीं करते, उसे छिन्न-भिन्न कर देने में समर्थ होते
हैं तथा उनकी इसी शक्ति को, विभिन्न रूपों में वर्णित साधनाओं के माध्यम से प्राप्त कर, साधक भी अपने जीवन के दुःख, दैन्य, कष्ट, पीड़ा, रोग, शत्रु, बाधा आदि इत्यादि जो कुछ भी अशुभ है, उनकी समाप्ति कर सकता है।

The essence of *Sadhana* (spiritual practice) dedicated to Lord Bhairav is that the seeker enters into the meditative aspect of Lord Shiva Himself; by invoking this aspect, the seeker earnestly strives to eliminate the incongruities and afflictions of their life. In His primordial form, Lord Shiva is utterly beyond conceptual thought and remains motionless, abiding in the highest state of *Samadhi* alongside the Divine Mother Parvati on Mount Kailash; yet, through His Bhairav form, He is simultaneously and constantly present among His devotees as a bestower of boons.
The reason for describing Lord Bhairav in terms of “Sound” (*Shabda*) is simply that He pervades the entire universe. Just as sound knows no boundaries—transcending every obstacle and remaining utterly free—so too does Lord Bhairav refuse to acknowledge the existence of any impediment, possessing the power to shatter it completely. By attaining this very power through various forms of *Sadhana*, a seeker can eradicate all inauspicious elements from their life—be it sorrow, destitution, suffering, pain, disease, enemies, or obstacles.
This book serves to elucidate this very mystery; it not only describes the true nature of Lord Bhairav—distinguishing it from common misconceptions—but also clarifies the specific *Sadhana* methods capable of infusing the seeker’s mind, body, and life with the potent influence of Lord Bhairav. By personally practicing these hitherto guarded methods, seekers can experience for themselves whether the true nature of Lord Bhairav is terrifying and fierce, or utterly blissful and delightful.
